![]() 11:56:08 AM :: Failed to prepare guest for hot backup. Error: VSSControl: Failed to prepare guest for freeze, wait timeout 900 sec Here are some of the errors.Ĭode: Select all 11:40:28 AM :: Failed to prepare guest for hot backup. The errors i get for these jobs vary but they all seem to be pointing to VSS. The other three that failed were SBS, SQL and vCenter server, all of which use high I/O load for databases and I assume this is related to VSS failing. Just on this, should it always be set to automatic for processing mode? What processing mode is best suited to my situation? Virtual Appliance Mode or Network Mode?Īfter running the job several times, every job failed, however, 2 out of the 5 VM's passed. My backup proxy settings are all set to 'Automatic'. I have created a backup depository, which is a 8TB (RAID-5) Q-NAP NAS connected over ethernet. I have done this and added all of my 5 VM's to a job. I have found out from some research that adding vCenter server in Veeam to process the VM's is not a good idea because the database freezes up during the snapshot and instead it is recommended to add the ESXi Host directly to Veeam and then add the VM's through the ESXi host for processing, so the vCenter server is not used in Veeam for processing. ![]() Veeam 6 is also installed on this server with a seperate instance of SQL Server Express. The vCenter server is installed with a local instance of SQL Server Express. I have 5 VM's (SBS, SQL, TS, XP machine and a vCenter Server). It is all local storage on this server, no shared storage SAN. I have a single ESXi 5 Server (HP ProLian ML-350 G6) with over 800GB of internal disk storage (RAID-5/SAS), which i use for my primary and only single data store for VMware virtual machines. Let me give you a breif run down of my environment before describing the issue. As ogre when you get 2-3 mobs on you you just cast FD and channel it no problems, while troll would apparently have to run away to get enough distance to cast it before they come bash interrupt.I am having trouble backing up my virtual environment running Veeam on a VM that contains vCenter Server. Played troll SK on red for a while, just felt awkward - fighting single mob 1v1 had to time spells around bashes. Basically higher str/sta means you can work your gear pieces on other stuff while those ikky SKs are sporting stamina earrings and str rings.įront stun immunity biggest deal anyways. ![]() 60str/50sta is crazy huge bytheway, majority of the stats among races are around the same numbers, so that ogre advantage is pretty immense. Velious both oughta be capped unbuffed, dex nearly capped, agi lingering around the 120s region. Ogre SK caps Str and hits somewhere near 200sta endgame Kunark already. Guess there's the regen, which scales into a permanent fungi or something at 60, but when talking endgame regen doesn't do much but reduce downtime slightly. Noidea if Greenmist is going in, but prty sure Velious has multiple better ratio SK weapons than 18/22 anyway. Not sure if the ikky AC bonus actually does anything, was some debate about it in one the oomphzillion other threads regarding this. In the end, with gear bonuses taken into account, does an extra 60 strength and 50 stamina really make that big of difference? I was looking at Velious-era gear and the bonuses you get from Strength and Stamina would push even an Erudite over the 200 mark and there seems to be a 'soft cap' for most stats. My question is, do the stats really matter?īut my real question, as above, is this. I also understand that Ogres get relative stun immunity, which is quite nice as well in certain situations and the ability to Slam. Oh, and yes, they get Greenmist during Velious, a very nice weapon. Sure, it's nice, but it hardly seems like a 'stand out' ability, with the exception of soloing. They also have regen, which is especially nice while leveling, but it doesn't seem like it'd matter at the high-end or if you were in a group with a healer. I understand that Iksars get an AC bonus, but I haven't seen any real calculations on how much of a bonus this is. Iksar is the Best camp vs the Ogre is the Best camp, with both agreeing that people should play whatever they enjoy the most. Hey there, so I've poked around a bit on the forums and the wiki and it seems that people settle into one of two camps.
